Memories

Interesting picture. Had it been taken exactly twenty years ago one of the fellows would have been me. And another had disappeared while crossing the crevasse. Luckily he was rescued without to much injure. Apparently not a unique incident.

I can't remember that crack when we attempted Allalinhorn (4027 m) for the first time. In 1994 it should be more closed than in 2010. That accident should be alarming for you, hopefully nobody got seriously injured. Did the helicopter come to rescue your mates?
