From Porcupine Creek
Hiked with wife from Porcupine Creek. We picked up Indian Rock and the Natural Arch on the way back. Views into the Valley marred by smoke.

Afternoon summit
The beginning of a heat wave made this more tiring than expected, but views into Tenaya Canyon in particular were fantastic. Great framing of Half Dome from the natural arch, too. Even got some time alone on the dome due to the covid-thinned crowds.

Amazing Hike !
Climbed with a novice friend but had a great time with amazing views except for the smoke early on in the day.

Trail Run w/Indian Rock and Arch
From Tioga Rd, a pleasant run to North Dome before the crowds then a side trot to Yosemite's only natural arch and Indian Rock for some Class 4 scrambling. Great day in the park with no people!

Fun route up Yosemite Falls over to North Dome and Indian Rock before heading back down to the valley facing Half Dome to complete the loop. GPS acted up, but majority of route can be seen here:

Also with John via trail on 5/3/14 with a lot of snow on trail.
A nice day with my two daughters, nephew and my wife Dawn who celebrates her 50th at the summit. From the Valley Floor via Snow Creek Trail. Not your average class 1 trail
Dayhiked with some friends. Got off trail due to lots of snow but found our way. Great views!

Porcupine Creek & Yosemite Falls
When I climbed in the valley as a kid, I always wanted to scale this dome from the valley along with its more notable neighbor, but I'm content these days to walk out to its lofty viewpoint and enjoy the company of whoever I'm with.

via Porcupine Creek Trail
Not sure if I shall actually sign the summit log, for this is more like hiking "down" to the dome... ...guess it counts since the route is listed in approach.
Very nice and pleasant hike. Dramatic clouds; pretty great view. Had to race with the storm on the way back - I won!

Tioga still open
With my gf overseas and not feeling like the usual New Year's Eve festivities I through my gear into my car and head to Yosemite on New Years Eve. Upper Pines campsite was only about 70% full when I arrived at 4pm.
I broke camp quietly at 5:30am and with Tioga (CA-SR-120) open and completely ice free, I planned to have a crack at Mt Dana or some other such peak along that range. However, the trail heads up that end of Tioga pass were icey enough that I decided to turn back and make it a day for a leisurely North Face hike (I had my ice/snow gear, but I strapped on and off my crampons in the first mile already a few times... not my idea of fun). Just a few patches of snow and ice from the Porcupine trail head, which were no longer slippery by the time I came back.
The views here were worth it for me and make sure you do the Indian Rock side trail (a nice natural arch).
