A day hike to North Peak 12,242' on the Yosemite crest. August '07

This was one of the most enjoyable hikes I've taken in the Sierra. Slept down by Rush Creek in Mono Basin and was up early and on the Saddlebag Lake trail to Conness Lakes and North Peak southeast slope by 6 AM. Beautiful summer clouds added nice shadow and light play.
