Just North this time  Sucess!

Excellent fall colors on the Nebo loop road. Definitely going to bike this loop next year. I skipped this peak on my previous Nebo summit from this side years ago and came back to complete my wasatch 11,000+ foot peaks, 3 more to go. Highlights: There is a very large Limber pine not far from the trailhead. On the way down the large north facing avalanche path I ran into some deer sparring for the does! I was sitting having a snack and they must not have heard me as ~ 30 yards away they began butting heads and fencing their antlers while the ladies watched. I tried to get some pictures but by the time I got up and closer they stopped to stare me down. Never seen that before in real life.

North Peak  Sucess!

We just did North Peak so I am going to have to come back and do Nebo another day. I enjoyed the trail A LOT! It was nice and runable. There was a trail most of the way (we lost it for only a minute at the top). I wasnt feeling fantastic this day so I was glad for an "easy" peak. I loved driving the Nebo loop as well. It was gorgeous!

On it's own  Sucess!

Brita and I ran most of the way up and did this on its own as we didn't have time for more. Drove the whole Alpine loop. I think it may be shorter to come up from the Nephi side instead of the Payson side. Views of Nebo from here are AWESOME!

Always in combination with attaining the Nebo North Summit  Sucess!

I have been over this peak probably half a dozen times including 6-19-08 and 8-26-08. It seems a "must" if one is heading to Nebo's north summit via the Monument TH. In fact, I usually bag it both going and coming, just to keep the old teeter totter even. #10? 5-26-12 Yup, going and coming. Didn't bag Mt. Nebo because of horrendously strong south winds which seemed to wish to turn our clothing into tatters. To add to the excitement, it snowed (horizontally) for 1.5 hours of the return trip to the Monument TH. Happy Memorial Day weekend! #11 7-19-14 WMC, last segment of the Nebo Ridge run from Andrews TH. Only Dominik, John & I tacked on this peak. IVD? Sicherlich! #12 9-29-17 W/ Lana. Bagged Wolf Pass, then back over this peak. Nebo had too much snow for us to try it safely.

Nice hike  Sucess!

7/19/2007 Climbed North Peak and the 3 summits of Nebo and went down the Andrews Ridge Trail.

8/28/1999 Climbed North Peak and the 3 summits of Nebo and returned on the Nebo Bench Trail which I liked a lot better than the Andrews Ridge Trail and you don't need a car shuttle.

On the way to Nebo   Sucess!

I took the ridge route, photo61guy took the 1/2bushwack + 1/2 Wolf Pass route - nice views of Nebo and all the switchbacks up the 'bump' in front of Nebo.

Last Wasatch 11er!  Sucess!

For the last few years I have been trying to summit all of the 11,000 foot peaks in the Wasatch Front, and this was #22 of 22 on my list. Had been to Nebo a few years ago but missed this one. Nice summit with great views, with a stiff breeze on top on this particular day. Now what shall be my next project?

Impressive mountain  Sucess!

Climbed North Peak on the way back from Nebo. I wasn't expecting this peak to be as impressive as it is. The view of the mountain from the beginning of the Mona Pole Rd. trail makes you realize that it's more than just a bump in the trail to Mt. Nebo. Well worth the time and effort to summit.

Relaxing Walk  Sucess!

I was plesantly surprized with how much snow was still around. We didn't plan to climb with ice axe and crampons but we sure could have as the east side had several nice slide paths full of snow. Went up from the mona pole road to the saddle on the north end, traversed across the peaks, and then returned by going down Wolf Pass to the Nebo Bench Trail.

I have now summited all of the Wasatch 11,000ers.

Nice hike with some friends  Sucess!

I can't recall the exact date - it was october or september 2007. A few friends and I were looking for something to do on a saturday.

It was a nice climb - makes me want to hike Nebo! (I haven't gotten to it yet)

Bugs!  Sucess!

Nice easy hike. There were hundreds of flies, ladybugs, and other insects on the summit. Great views and many pretty flowers.
