North Peak
This was a little side trip on the way up Nebo. My wife just rolled her eyes and met me back on main trail as I went on up to hit the North Peak summit. It was a nice little diversion.
I definitely had enough energy after Nebo so I ascended from Wolf Pass. The view of Nebo and its environs from North Peak is outstanding. Definitely worth the extra effort.

two for one hike
North Peak as well as north summit of Mount Nebo. I can't imagine better fall foliage colors, esp. for a last days of summer hike. Very dry hot summer.

Hiked to the overlook with my family and then quickly went to the top of North Peak on my own while they were eating lunch. See "Little Hikers" trip report for details.
I finally finished all of the Wasatch 11'ers!! After over a year of trying to bag all of them, the blood, the sweat, and the tribulations. It was all worth it!

Nice Little Detour
Took the route up and over North Peak on my way to the south summit of Mount Nebo. Enjoyed the view but didn't stay long.

This is a no-brainer peak
You want controversy, well here is one for you, I think the view from North Peak is better than Nebo. I said it, I'll say it again. I mean if you walk north of Nebo sure the view is great, but from the peak this one wins. If this was in that book eat this instead of that, then North Peak would be the most bang for you buck for views. Nebo is more fun of course.

North of the equator!
This is a gem. The views were awesome. I really liked Nebo poking it's head from the summit here. You can basically see all of the county high points from here yelled the Prince of Norway. I think I can see Russia said Facebookless Jeremy. It really was a quick side trip on the way to Nebo, and only about an hour and a half from the trail head. Easy objective and nice place to kick back and relax and enjoy some sweet views.
10/08/13 Hiked up after summiting Nebo. very very faint trail here and there with a summit register. I think it only added about 20 mins to my return time.

2 Hours Too Late
Made it to the summit in less than 90 minutes but started a bit too late (noon) to feel comfortable going to Nebo. The clouds seemed a little too sketchy and besides, I had to make it to a tasty family dinner at 5 pm. Great views from this peak, though. I could imagine seeing most of northern Utah from the desert ranges to the west to the Uintas in the east. Beautiful place.
9/17/2015 With my dad. We were planning on Nebo but sketchy weather turned us back after North Peak.
8/31/2014 Along with Nebo North, Middle, and South summit.
7/2/2013 Made the quick trip up to North Peak on the way to Mount Nebo.

From Nebo
Traversed from Nebo after doing the northwest couloir. Dropped back to the road using the chute just south of the summit for a short day. Trip report.

Up i Go10/08/13 Hiked up after summiting Nebo. very very faint trail here and there with a summit register. I think it only added about 20 mins to my return time.
