"Northeast Crestone" - our route

Most folks opt to traverse down on some ledges and drop into the top of the NW couloir (yellow). We climbed instead to gain "Northeast Crestone" (red). The dotted portion is low but heavily exposed 5th-class. Descent was much easier than it looks

Yikes!

That red line sure looks sketch! I wonder how it compares. We took the yellow line and it was an attention-grabber but not killer.

Honestly I was standing at the notch looking at the two options and decided climbing was less daunting. They're probably similar for pucker factor
