Re: Very informative!

Thanks CJ. I am glad you find them useful. It always means more to me to know what I am looking at. Though it can be a pain to stitch the photos together, I rather enjoy the effort of identifying as many peaks as possible.

Great pan from the west!

I have a suggestion for you. (I'll probably never get around to it) Picturesque pyramid Mt. Shinn, 10,960', 2.7 miles south-southeast of Florence Lake. No M&R on it yet. Looks like a really cool peak. Steep class 2 maybe 3 on all sides. It's in Secors' book.
I think you're the man for the job.

Re: Great pan from the west!

Thanks Noondueler. If I did it I think it would have to include that ridge to Mosquito Pass or Mount Henry. But I think you owe us a page on Mount Baldwin first...

Re: Great pan from the west!

There is a water taxi in summer to the south end of Florence Lake.
Oh man... maybe next year if I could ever pack into the Convict Creek area and acclimate first. I can't just drive up there and do 12-13er day hikes so easy like back when I was a young 50 year old whipper snapper. Maybe I'd take you up on an overnighter and we could do it together if you don't mind dragging an old fart.

Re: Great pan from the west!

Baldwin? Yeah, I'd do that peak again. Splendid views and a great area for an overnight too. Put it on the list for next year, my schedule is wide open.

Re: Great pan from the west!

I will take note and be in touch next season. Looks like some snow up there next week.

Morgan

That must be Mt. Morgan 13,748 between 7 Gables and Bear Creek Spire. Actually, Morgan and Gabb, 13,741, are the highest peaks in the Mt. Abbot area.

Re: Morgan

Could be. I had a hard time distingushing some of those in the distance with absolute certainty.

You're right

Yeah, I understand; it's easy to identify peaks when one has such a marvelous panorama that can be enlarged by us couch-climbers. LOL Thanks!
