This is the northern California coast north of Fort Bragg. Its much like the Oregon Coast, but with far fewer people. June 2002

Looks

like a nice place to go bouldering. I imagine the same problem would either have a nice landing or be a high ball depending on the tide.

have some really GREAT pictures. I miss the OCEAN. We don't have one in Arizona; not until California sinks into the ocean. Maybe ARNOLD can take care of that ... LOVE your photos.

those rocks

are so picturesque, what is their geological origin ?

I'm not sure. I know up on the Oregon Coast features like this are basalt from huge lava flows in the interior. I don't know if those extended down the coast this far or not.
