Yucaipa ridgeline FTW!1  Sucess!

Nice couloir and ridgeline. Seeing the Galena glacial cirque with huge plucked headwalls from above and below is something else.

Spring Fun   Sucess!

Great route up the Northwest Coulier, perfect day for climbing North facing routes on the first day of spring in Southern California mountains. Five of us went up the same route taken by Sam Page, Jeff Scofield and Miguel Forjan one month earlier. The traverse at the top of the ridge is an eye opener, lot's of scrambling.

Great Route Great Friends  Sucess!

Never thought of climbing peaks under 10K but Sam taught me it's not the fun is not in the summit but in the route itself....

Good route !  Sucess!

Michael Gordon and I climbed this couloir and the ridge crest to Galena Peak either in January of 1998 or 1999. We had frozen snow in the couloir and some good scrambling on the knife-edged ridge (if you take the ridge head on) to the summit. Good day outing in the local mountains.

Adventure  Sucess!

I wanted to climb this couloir after spotting it from Dobbs Peak. Miguel Forjan and Jeff Scofield joined me.
