Hohes Großwandeck is formed by countless rock spires. This mountain is part of Gosaukamm the north-western extension of Dachstein massif.

Also the name of the mountain - Sternkogel can be translated as Star Mountain - indicates an extra-terrestic place.

Usually Gosaukamm is photographed from Upper Austria. This shot was taken from the (IMO more beautiful) Salzburg side
