"Numbers Hill" is the unofficial name for peak 2665 at the northern end of Mountain Home ridge. While nothing to brag about in climbing forums it does offer a good snowshoe route in the winter. It is quick and easy to get to in the Leavenworth area and has some views of Leavenworth, Peshastin and some of the surrounding peaks.
From Leavenworth, travel east over the river towards Peshastin and immediately after the river turn right onto Mountain Home rd. This road turns to gravel but is well maintained. In the winter however, it can be tricky without snow tires. After about 3 miles and just past Mountain Home Lodge there is a gated road on the left. This is where we started our route, although I think there are other ways to get to the top.
From the gate, follow the service road while it ascends to the ridgetop. Follow the ridge and the road until it basically comes to an end at the top. Avoid veering off on any spurs along the way. From the gate its less than 2 miles to the top and gains around 700 feet.
Can be climbed any time of year but tricky to drive if snowy on Mountain Home rd.
Camping can be found in Leavenworth and Icicle river.
