The only mountain lake in the area is below the east slope of the Nut Basin highpoint. Its not a real pretty lake, but its the only one. The ground surrounding much of the lake is pretty swampy and the mosquitos are terrible, but some dry campsites are on the north side and it is periodically stocked with trout. June 2006
