Beautiful Snowshoe
Fun solo snowshoe from Rifugio Cinque Torri. Our first time in Italy and we linked up Cinque Terre to Cinque Torri. Amazing food in the huts.

Normal route from P. Giau via Averau Hut
A very nice dayhike with sun and clouds wrestling against each other but letting good enough views in almost all direction from the top. Being in the middle of August, of course, many people wer around, still not disturbing. Can't wait to return equipped with a ferrata set :)

Good route on a nice day. We had hoped to climb Averau as well but ran out of time.

Fog and Volksmusik
On a foggy day we drove around for some chance of blue skies and ended up at Cinque Torri. Hiked the giro there and explored the Italian WW I positions. From there headed on to Nuvolau. The summit greeted us with lots of fog and a hut blasting out German Volksmusik. Views were not so great but every now and then a cloud would make way for a few sunbeams.

Easy but rewarding via ferrata from Passo Giau with nice views to Cinque Torri Group. First part of Nuvolau - Averau Classic.

Overcrowded
The peak was nice but the summit was full of people. We liked more than Novulau the isolated Gusella and the amazing Averau.

4 peaks on the same day
After climbing Tofana di Dentro and Tofana di Mezzo from Pié Tofana (1668 m), at 3:30 p.m. I got back at to the camping site in Cortina. After an hour's rest I decided to go to the mountains again, and I climbed the peaks Ra Gusela via the short via ferrata and Nuvolau as 2 extras. A total 2340 m elevation gain in a single day. Personal top record up to now.

We hiked there from Rif Scoiattoli just in time for sunrise at 5.30. Although the clouds covered the sun from explodind into full day, it was still a great experience

we made a nice day-round-trip: Passo Giau - Forc. Nuvolau - Nuvolau summit - Rif. Cinque Torri - Passo Giau. A very fine day in fall. Already some snow on the summit ascent, But no problem. Some people but not many campared to summer times. Great views!

Straight forward but entertaining route up the impressive central pillar of the sw face, finishing right on the summit. climbed on a beautiful sunny day.
