O'Leary Peak

This is Darton Dome, a sub-summit on the southeast flank of O'Leary Peak. It makes a good reference device on the hike, although navigation is very easy anyway. In the back, kind of cut-off on the right, is Sunset Crater Volcano, the cinder-cone that spat out all the cinder and lava back in about 1065 C.E.

You always have some nice AZ photos posted on your image page. The San Francisco Volcanic field is under-rated, yet interesting. Thanks!

Thx! O'Leary really is a unique place, quite unlike even the other areas around Flagstaff. Unexpectedly pretty and a great hike!
