Re: Many armed and weathered

Thanks Vasler. I don't know the name of this type of oak but there are a lot of them in the hills around here and they are generally quite picturesque

Of Mighty Oaks ..

"There is unrest in the forest,
There is trouble with the trees,
For the maples want more sunlight;
And the oaks ignore their pleas ..."

Re: Of Mighty Oaks ..

I do love maple syrup Larry!
Maybe I should lobby for equal sunlight rights in the forest. Or maybe I should just join SAA. (Syrup Abusers Anonymous).
It's that serious.

Re: Of Mighty Oaks ..

Not a botanist, but I think they're LIVE OAKS,
as opposed to dead ones.

Not to be confused with "Black Oak Arkansas."

Oh yeah! Jim Dandy! The original David Lee Roth. Nice slide guitar too.
I think you are right about them being live oaks.

Re: Of Mighty Oaks ..

At 1:24, the lead guitarist nearly trips over
his chord.

Frankly, I always thought the title was
"Jim Daddy" and HE was David Lee Roth's
original DADDY.

Or, somethin' like that .. whoa ..
