7/4/17 w/Mountain Munchers via standard route
Hauled a grill to the summit and enjoyed a Fourth of July sunset grill-out! Great people, beautiful views

Drove up Going to the Sun during one of the worst storms of the summer. Rain like I've never seen pounded the windshield on the way up. Arrived at Logan's Pass with sun shining down on us. We were in the eye of the storm! A hole in the clouds encircled Hidden Lake and the Pass from above. I had planned to take a coworker up Cannon but lightning scared him off soon after we left the trail so I kept going. Higher and higher. Snow started to fall around me (First time seeing snow fall since I was a baby). Starting to second guess whether I should push on or not, lightning struck once more. This time, too close for comfort. I turned around and ran up Oberlin as I had heard it's the easiest beginner mountain. Alas, I, the Wheelbarrow, won't let poor weather ruin an otherwise perfectly good day in GNP hahaha
Easy peak in one of the most beautiful areas of the park.
A short fun trip. A great introduction to scrambling in the park.
Nice easy and rewarding hike
Easy, rewarding climb. Excellent peak for beginners.
Saw the most incredible inversion on the summit. Such a great climb and so much to see.
Beautiful sunny day. Nice & easy!
Climbed this peak with Kevin L. before my bartending shift to celebrate our nations independence. A clear beautiful day with plenty of snow across logan pass to gaze at.
Quick trip but very much worth the effort! Beautiful views and an interesting summit with some aggressive chippymonks
An easy jaunt from Logan Pass. A good friend of mine saw a Wolverine on this climb
Perfect GNP intro climb
Very nice hike, except for getting charged by a couple of goats on the way up.
2011 - w/ Rachel Heiken (her b-day climb), Heidi Sauerland, Julie Nelson, Stephanie Thurmond, Ruel Golding, Nate Huff, Brady Moore, Mike Burr and Lenka Sumichrastova.
July 31st, 2011 with me, Adrianne Hearne, Josh Olson, and Rebecca Lahr. Sweet glissading!
Great views for not too much work. Winds were vicious the day I went and I nearly got frostbite every time I took off gloves for a picture, but I kept taking more pictures. Go past the summit on an arm out to "Easter Island" for a slightly more challenging day and more rewarding. I will have a trip report up soon if you want the details.
Had big plans to Climb GTTS and Matahpi, but had an even BIGGER night! Still wanting to climb, just not feeling so hot, Colin and I headed for Oberlin. What a great alternative! Great, easy day! The beer we hid in a snowbank on the way up was very rewarding on the way down!
First solo climb in the park!
Sketchy looking clouds that day.
