First time hiking at this part of RMNP, beautiful area with some interesting rock formations. Great views of Estes Park and many peaks in the park.

LUMPY!!!!  Sucess!

kor's flake, stiff 5.7, was a rough start to my lumpy career, but it'll do nothing to discourage me from returning many, many times over the years. hopefully it's not going the way of eldo(overcrowded).

Great climbing!  Sucess!

•Root of All Evil - Sibling Rivalry (“5.9-“)
7.25.’12, w/ Faith; led both pitches; Initial ‘approach’ crack (getting TO roof)@ least the way we went, definitely the crux- .10 a/b, I’d say. Roof I’d call .9; fun! Face fun, & skinny bolts + 20’ -> 30’ run-outs made things somewhat thought-provoking! Great intro climb to Lumpy!

•Loose Ends (5.9)
7.26.’12, w/ Faith; P1 tough! Broke into 2 parts, as strenuous! F led “P2 (as per Green’s CO guide).” Initial section tough too, P3 dihedral FUN (reminded me of White Punks on Dope (Needles) dihedral). Cave weird & tough! Thought I’d pulled my quad! Excellent climb & day! Tough climb!

...with west and middle "Gemstones"  Sucess!

Scrambled up this at the end of a long, grueling day which started with scrambling up middle Gem Peak and West Gem Peak followed by circumnavigating Lumpy.
Ungodly hot. Great views!

With Dark Mountain  Sucess!

Head up and over The Needles and then over to Dark. Wanted to head up McGregor, put an injured Achilles started acting up so called it a day. Wonderful seclusion on a beautiful November day.

Batman Rock  Sucess!

Climbed Batman & Robin on the first day and something else that was 6 pitches and 5.7 but can't recall the name of it on our second day in the park. Beautiful area and tons of great climbing.

Two fun climbs & many more to go  Sucess!

8/8/09 Magical Chrome-Plated.... - First climb at Lumpy and really enjoyed it.

8/16/09 Batman & Robin - A pretty fun 5.6 climb. We were going to add on a route on Batman Rock, but the clouds were moving in.

bat and rob  Sucess!

good climb topped pinnacle rappel and finished the next short little face> thanks for the gear that was left in a great place, it was fresh clean solid, but no thanks to the fools behind us that stole the gear cause they thought we forgot it, found out it wasnt ours and walked away w/ it

West Ridge Route  Sucess!

We hiked in snow to some false summits each time finding a higher one. The third one was the charm. There is no end to the rock scrambling that can be done on this ridge let alone the technical routes.

I climbed this with other Memphis Mountaineers, Paul and Sam, after a freak summer storm cancelled out plans for higher in RMNP. Nice Route!

Sundance Gully Route to The Needles  Sucess!

From the Lumpy Ridge Trailhead, hiked the Sundance Gully Route to the top of the highest needle. I was expecting the gully to be a class 2 thrash/scramble, but there was a class 1+ climbers trail up the entire gully. The top of the gully is a really neat place to be - lots of rock and gnarled trees.
