Blowdowns? I really did not see many at all. I think some trail/road work was done up there to clear things up. Could have also been the snow. Anyways, started at the very bottom at the closed gate and followed the roads/trail all the way to the summit block. Snow started about 2-4 inches deep and slowly worked up to roughly 2 feet deep at the summit. Started using snowshoes around the second forest road branch. Summit block took some time to navigate since it was covered in snow and a thin layer of ice. Used ice axe to clear the snow and break up the ice sheets. Not a real difficult mountain, but it has some nice views for most of the way up especially with the snow cover. For those climbing next spring, there is one big blowdown not even a mile up the road that will be impassable by vehicle. Once the gate opens up, be mindful of it, not sure when it will get cleared.

Tumwater
Drove my truck all the way to the saddle at 4150' - road has been cleared of blowdowns. The final scramble to the true summit is not that much fun, and the view is not that great. Highly recommend the high point .3 miles north of the saddle (unless you are really into prominence peaks), as it has great, unrestricted views. If you have a 4x4, you can drive to within 200' of the 'north' summit.
Parked at the gate at the very bottom of the road. Hit snow about halfway between the gate and the "meadow". From the "meadow", I just swung a left and ascended directly up the hill to the top of the ridge, then another left towards the summit boulder. Snow was fairly deep up on the ridge; the summit boulder was spicy due to the snow. Descent was the opposite of ascent, directly down the east side back to the FS road. Weather conditions couldn't have been better.

Michael, Chance, and I went up to the south summit via the south face. It had nice views, but was a pretty scummy route. Fallen over trees to brush and such. I Scrapes on my legs even with being careful. Keep in mind this was a uncommon route. Hope the standard route is better!

winter workout
About 3 feet of snow made the ridge top interesting. Nice and quiet with great sunny views.

Above the Clouds
Thick cold fog in Leavenworth and as I drove up the mountain, but the top of the mountain was sunny and warm (for November). Light snow on the ground. WA P2k 30/144

timber slog
Gate was open, but the rough road but a hole in my oil pan. I ended up walking the last couple miles. I slogged it up through the fallen trees which was a pain. Boulder at the top was cool!

Nice day
On April fools day, three of us, Ken Jones, Greg Slayden and I did the hike to the top with the summit boulder for fun. We hiked up from the gate (closed)but we had a beautiful weather day.

The gate was still locked so I hiked from there. No problems with the boulder. There was a fair amount of snow to slog through as I recall.

Bad Road, Bad Timber
The road pushed my little passenger vehicle to its limits, but it was manageable. The hike was enjoyable until the ridgetop, but then the massive amount of fallen timber debris made the hike a tad annoying. Some of the views from the ridgetop were great. I enjoyed the summit boulder, but wish I would have brought a tape measure with me to determine a better estimate for the height of the boulder.

TumwaterI estimate the summit rock pile is 18 feet on the short side and 28 feet on the long side.
