Trail rerouted

The trail is even easier now that it has been rerouted to avoid the drop along Doe Creek. A more accurate map can be seen http://www.snwburd.com/bob/maps/eddy_1_2.html>here

Dennis - you might update your map and info accordingly.

thanks,

bob

just a little clarification

Good route description. I would just add a few things, though, for clarity (just did this the past weekend):-

- The trail to Buck Lake 'T's into the main trail from the R on the ascent (i.e. just keep going straight here- the sign when we passed it was barely legible (it had been written on with marker, & was mostly faded out- this before the winter rains/snows, which will likely remove the remaining traces of legibility))

- shortly after crossing the 2nd stream (the first is seasonal), trail forks- take the R-hand fork.

- after awhile, the 2nd turn is made to the R (straight up the ridge)- although this is signed Devils Punchbowl, if not looking up it could easily be missed- it 'T's into the main trail as well & heads steeply uphill.
