Did this one on day two of my friend's trip to Zion (following Angel's Landing and followed up by a one-day thru-hike of the Zion Narrows). This was actually a nicer hike than Angel's Landing, but that may be because I had never done it before.
Went with some good friends, had to turn around due to one of their girlfriends wanting to go to some sort of tourist trap, nice little hike
Nice hike in the heat but luckily the first part was in the shade in the morning. Great view!
Tried it in a whiteout and stopped just below it leveled out, was very sureal knowing there were huge drop offs but having no visual. When the weather cleared the next day went back and did it
Route Climbed: Trail from Weeping Rock TH
Hot day in April. Incredible views.
I've approached Observation Point from both the bottom and the top. Better than Observation Point, though, is nearby Observation BM. Truly classic views of both north and south Zion Canyon.
Really nice hike and views on a really hot day, then back to lose more money in Vegas.
One of the Hikes you should do, if your in Zion.
This is my favorite view of the Zion valley. And even in snow conditions the trail is great and totally worth the effort.
Quick time to the top. Zirkle, Rich.
Done parts of it and to the top for a Mystery descent.
Passed an 84 year old woman who went to the top as well. It must have been 90 degrees out. Impressive.
Great Views. Really hot.
I forget the exact date. Mountain lion tracks on the rim made it exciting.
A nice hike among sandstone formations on a sunny day.
Lots of mud on the way. Went with LVMC, including my wife!
Several times for several objectives.
NICE HIKE, BUT I PREFER ANGELS LANDING
Very hot day, but nice view from top...Repeated again 02/08/2008--not hot!! Plowed through between 1 to 3 feet of snow with Barak and Bo.
