Looks like the

layers of Obsidian were tilted and uplifted after they cooled. Outstanding photography!
Did you get a new camera???

It looks amazing doesn't it. There were many more very interesting rock formations in that crater.

You have very good eyes. I actually used a different camera than I usually do. However, it is an older digital model (Sony DSC-F707) but with very good lenses (Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar). Usually I use a pocket model digi-camera (Canon Power Shot 800 IS).

Thanks, I'm still trying to decide between a new Olympus or Sony digital. They both look GREAT while sitting on the shelf inside the electronics store!!! :)
