Old Tom  Sucess!

North Ridge. Mostly a roadwalk and then easy off-trail.

Old Tom  Sucess!

Decided to do this Peak spontaneously while driving through Pocatello on my way to Montana. Had planned on doing something on the long drive towards Butte, but wasn't sure what until last minute. Great hike. Also did Jefferson CoHP later that day.

New summit register/container  Sucess!

Nice hike to the summit. Per the main page for this mountain by Dean, the summit register/container was not in good condition and needed to be replaced. I brought up a new summit register and container, but could not for the life of me find the old one once I got there. Either it rolled down the mountain, it was hidden *very* well under the cairn, or someone took it. I placed the new register/container under some rocks of the cairn.

Old Tom  Sucess!

According to my notes, I was here in October 1995 during hunting season with my dad and some friends. We hiked from Garden Creek Gap. At the present time, much of this area is fenced off. The north ridge is now the standard route to the summit.

Nice hike  Sucess!

Finding the right road was our key challenge for this one but the hike itself was very pleasant and started our day off on the right note. Great weather and wonderful views were our reward. I did this with Dennis Poulin
