Bailey Traverse
Very surprised to no longer see a page or beta for the Bailey Traverse on summitpost. There used to be tons of info here.
In any event, we were lucky to complete the trip north to south in 6 days climbing Steven, Fury and Barnes. Poor weather prevented Carrie at the beginning, but I've seen it on a blue bird day already.
The ridge above Bear Pass, our camp on night 5, was probably one of the most beautiful of my climbing career. A spectacular place that everyone with the ability should dream to reach.

Hidden treasure
Was lucky enough to make two trips out here during my year in the PNW. First trip up to Bogachiel peak was cut short near the ridge because of a huge black bear..
Started at Sul Duc Falls Trail Head and headed up over Appleton Pass and then descended down to boulder creek camp ground. The camp ground is beautiful. I thought the springs were a little gross, so didn't get in, but the hike was amazing and would love to do it again. 30 miles in 2 days with 8000 ft. of elevation gain.
Really liked the ski touring here, particularly Hurricane Ridge.

A Special Range
I've been to the top of 23+ peaks in the Olympics including the 3 highest. It's one of my favorite ranges.

I've been here a few times now, if it was a little closer to home I would have to visit more often.

The Valhallas
Solo climb (unless my dog counts as a partner) of the Valhallas in the Olympics. Not very difficult (an Australian Cattle Dog managed it). Bailed on taking on Mount Olympus due to weather though. Overall awesome trip and a great view!

Lived along the Quinault River
Lived along the Quinault River, upstream from Lake Quinault, nextdoor to the North Shore Park Ranger Station from 1972 to 1974. Did a lot of the Olympic Park routes then; Low Divide, High Divide, Enchanted Valley, The Elwha, etc. It was a wonderful area to live if you could tolerate over 200 inches of annual rainfall...
