That is a stunning cloud inversion. I bet it was thick with a bit of a shall I do it kind of attitude when you started but being presented with this makes these kind of starts to the climb well worth it...!
Perfect for a profile shot too...!
Cheers - David.
Thanks David. Stunning is exactly what it was and the camera just can't portray what I seen. As you say, we weren't expecting it, but made the day worthwhile and some.
We have been getting fog/inversions like this lately in the Wasatch. It can be quite scenic sometimes. Thanks for sharing the scenery with us. Happy Holidays
Cheers Tye. Waited years to see this sort of thing and then I got the same thing a week later. Typical!!! All the best for the new year.
I thought this was a "theatrical fog machine"
used by Pink Floyd during their final performance of "Run Like Hell."
You don't seem to be running, so this must be
one of those precious moments that only a few
lucky ones enjoy.
Have a wonderous 2010, Stephen !!!
Hi Larry, good to hear from you. This was one of those lucky moments I've been looking to experience for quite a while. Well worth the wait!!
Wishing you a fabulous 2010 also. Hopefully it will be a good one.
A dark tone and composition is outstanding.
Thanks Kenzo. It was quite an interesting day.
