On the approach to Virginia Pass, you pass Green Lake, this beautiful, deep body of water. The large peak is Gabbro Peak. Virginia Pass is the small notch on the right hand side of the image.

It looks like a royal pile of choss, in climbing terms, but in photography terms, it's one of my most memorable views in the Sierra. Usually you get gray (granite), blue (sky), and maybe green (water).
