On the lake

Smreczynski Pond, Western Tatras, Poland is only 2 m deep. It is located in the marshy region in the middle of dense spruce forest. That is why its waters are not so cristal clear as in majority of Tatra ponds. The peaks of Blyszcz (2158 m) and Bystra (2249 m, the highest peak of Western Tatras) are seen in the background.
