On the Matejak Traverse

On the Matejak Traverse

I'm making the nervous moves around the corner on the "Matejak Traverse." (IV+). This is on the North Ridge of Predigtstuhl (IV+, 16 pitches), at the start of a stretch of some improbably steep climbing for the grade. At my waist is a rusty piton, but I could place a good nut where my left hand is as I continued up.

Good action photo!

You could put up a page of Predigtstuhl. Kaiser mountains are really missing on SP! And they are so beautiful and also the history of alpinism was written there!

Re: Good action photo!

Thank you Vid...you are so right about the history, and it's amazing that the little range isn't represented. I'm finding myself to be a bad page creator though, I am too lazy to get all the important details in one place. Maybe with cabin fever in the winter I can do it!
