On the steep headwall of Ausangate

Yesterday we tried to climb Ausangate, but we were too slow, ran out of daylight and returned without reaching the summit. Today we spent resting and preparing the steep 200m headwall right above our high camp, so we would have a quick start on our second and final attempt, tommorow morning. Since we got back long after nightfall yesterday, we left a whole lot of gear on the slope, just so we could get back down faster. Up to the first belay station, we all worked together, but higher up, Iván did everything alone. No rest day for him. 3 June 2011.
