On Top of Ben Klibreck

On Top of Ben Klibreck

Little did my wife know that when she took this picture I was contemplating asking the big question. We got engaged on top of Ben Klibreck. Although the only thing she mentions about the whole trip is the pain of the walk down . . . her first and nearly her last mountain!

Good story!

On a similar note, I carried an engagement ring wrapped up in toilet paper in my pocket around Scotland for 2-3 weeks and planned on proposing to my girlfriend on top of Ben Nevis. Couldn't see our hands in front of our faces once on top. Ended up proposing on a hill down in the Lake District.

Cheers and congratulations Dave! We were very fortunate the weather couldn't have been better, slight haze but warm, dry and bright. which hill in the Lakes?

Re: And it was

a yes . . . . Never even thought about the toilet paper, even if I had I think I would have been using it myself mopping up the brown adrenaline. No tears on her part, more of an expectation and what took you so long. As it turned out her mother had split the beans beforehand so she expected it.

Re: And it was

I think the toilet paper comment was that it looks like your sitting on one Mark!
