Nice HAT !I know. Even in October, the sun is still bright. I'm not complaining, I'm just commenting on your wonderful picture. The colours in these rocks are incredible. Is this a class III or a class IV? Have a GREAT day!!!

Re: Nice HAT !The route we did that day was class 3. There is a class 4 route through Gunsight Notch, but class 4 section is very short. I enjoy all of them. The Oak Creek route described here on SP is especially beautiful.

Looking happyDidn't you use a rope to do a class 3-4 route? If not, you must be a confident climber.

Re: Looking happyI'm just a hiker/scrambler. No rope necessary on the type of routes that we do. However, we always carry some webbing just in case for emergencies.
