This photo

depicts the glory of a huge area, and not just one mountain. It is truely a scene to behold.
Great job Afzal.
Happy climbing,

Re: Rock, ice and snow...

Thank you very much for your nice comments and vote. The photo taken on the top of the Gondogoro pass, below you can see the campsite. The peaks around camp site are 5000 & 6000m meters. On way to Hushe village, people stay here for one or two days or 15 to 20 days for climbing peaks in the area during summer season. Now it is not possible to live there, because of extreme snow and weather conditions.

Damn Afzal, you have many awesome photos of some amazing places. How do you afford it? I am saving money right now, but can't foresee being able to afford more than one trip, and it would have to be a lesser area than the Himalaya ..

Re: -

Thanks for your nice comments about my photos. I belongs to Baltistan, and I am living there. The Baltistan is my beautiful homeland. The area is not new for me and I have been their so many time with my friends. My first trip to the K2 base camp was in 1984. For me it cost me not so much for go there, because, being a local of the area I know the area very well and all the people in the mountains are my best friends. This trip need 18 to 21 days from round trip Islamabad, and 12 to 15 days from round trip from Skardu, but our local people can be do this trek within 9/10 days (round trip from Skardu). For more details about Baltista, please have a look at my article "Baltistan- The Land of highest peaks on earth).
