Once in a life (Papilio memnon - local subspecies on Malipunyo)

The span of this butterfly is 20 cm! And allowed me to make the photo. It happens perhaps once in a life

Re: Great photo

My wife said, "This was taken at the Butterfly
Farm in Bohol ???"

Butterflies seem to be a controversial subject here on Summitpost, yes?

Some folks love to hate them, but I've
always admired their Natural Beauty.

Re: Great photo

This was taken in the nature, in the jungle of Malipunyo, file miles further of the other photo you likes with the banana leaves. No, a photo from a Butterfly Farm really has not much to do with SP! ;)

Re: Great photo

I admire your courage ..

If you got past the rumored anti-government
rebels, you must have nine lives.

My wife was born in the Philippines.
She keeps telling me: "It's a jungle out
there !!!" : )

Re: Beau...

Yes, it is! You can imagine what a "shocking" view it was for me, having seen only European butterflies before
