The ridge takes longer than it looks. Fun day.
One of the Prominent peaks seen from a wide area of California, I'm glad I finally got to visit the top. A great Saturday morning Hike.
6am-12pm hike,90 degrees, great views of all around
First time bagging 4 in a day. Will bag it on its own next time so I can enjoy the hike.
Peak 4 of 4 for the day, second time up. Those false summits are annoying, cool peak though.
Had the summit to myself. Not many people on a Thursday.
Another beautiful spring day in Southern California with very few people on the trails early Sunday Morning.
Tagged Ontario and Bighorn on an overnight in Icehouse Canyon. Great area.
Hiked to Ontario Peak as part of my 11 peaks day hike.
2nd attempt in the snow. Too much ice and snow, no cramp-ons, but made it within a quarter-mile before calling it quits. Beautiful!
Last peak bagged out of four that day. Back in time for good beer and food with my gorgeous partner.
Guess we took the relatively easy way up - via Big Horn. Awesome views but the dead trees are sad. Good to have bagged this peak now I have no reason to go back to filthy Icehouse Cyn trailhead!
Day hike from Icehouse with cold wind blowing on top. Marine layer below the peak made for cool pictures. Kelly's camp was covered in about 6 inches of snow. Great hike!
Up Falling Rock Canyon to Sugarloaf, then up the ridge to Ontario. Continued on to Bighorn, Cucamonga, and Etiwanda.
Crazy for the Grovel
I enjoyed this trail...i'd hike it again...i should have done bighorn pk..
Icehouse Canyon to Shortcut Ridge. Had the peak to myself.
Climbed Ontario, Bighorn and Cucamonga Peaks. Started at the icehouse trail head. I only planned on Ontario and Bighorn but Cucamonga was right there so I did it again. 8 1/2 hours car to car. I almost stepped on a southern pacific rattle snake on the descent about a half mile from the car. Beautiful day to be outdoors.
Beautiful views from here. Nice peak.
Icehouse to Ontario Peak and then Bighorn Peak. Saw 2 Nelson bighorn sheep at Ontario-Bighorn saddle. Great hike with son!
