For newcomers to Monte Perdido...I want to call your attention on that lake below this beautiful shot: that's the Pequeño Lago Helado, on the normal route to Monte Perdido. Its waters are the origin of the Grande Cascade de Gavarnie, one of the highest waterfalls in Europe.
