went to check it out...  Sucess!

Went to this mainly to check out the view of the NYC skyline. It didn't disappoint. You get a good view of the skyline on a clear day, and you're quite a distance away. This little viewpoint has all around good views for little effort. Plus you do get to check out the stone furniture on the way there. A hidden gem in NJ.

A man, a dog and a mountain.  Sucess!

If you are looking for solitude on a mountain hike this is one for you (at least on a week day). Up and down, the Hewitt Butler Trail - blue markers, with out encountering another hiker. There was only one portion with large boulders that Barney (4 legged hiker)had a little problem with traction. Ample view points to use as an excuse to catch your breath and even one with a stone "couch" and fire pit. You will know you reached the top by the graffitti covered baren rock summit.
