Our Route

Our Route

The Durrance Route and Bailey Direct. We climbed Bailey's Direct because I couldn't find the piton to protect the jump at the jump traverse and I was too scared to free it. Jumping gets you a 4th class scramble instead of 5.7 the last 100 or so feet. I was really OK with climbing all the way my first time up. Having things too easy would spoil all of the fun!

Thanks man!
It was one of the better days for sure. A must for any trad climber.

Nice picture!

I wish I had the ability to climb this mountain. Outstanding accomplishment.

Re: Nice picture!

Thank you so much for the kind words.
This had been a dream of mine for over 20 years, long before I ever started rock climbing. I couldn't stop crying when I finally got to the top. I'll never forget this day.
