Outcrop of Courthouse Mountain

At about 1.2 miles in to the trail to Courthouse Mountain and there are already beautiful views opening up through the trees. The trail from the Primative Owl Creek Pass Campground is only about 4 miles roundtrip. The first mile is through steep forest and then after that mile the trees will start to diminish and views such as this one will open up. The San Juan Mountains are seen in the distance, with no thunderstorm approaching in sight.
