Product Description

This book is a climber's guide to the range's 54 peaks above 11,000 feet. Detailed route descriptions, extensive histories of first ascents and abundant photos of these far-flung, magnificent peaks will appeal to alpinists, wilderness explorers and armchair mountaineers.

The author, Bill Corbett, is a Calgary writer whose previous books include Day Trips From Calgary and Outdoor Activities in Alberta's Heartland. An avid mountaineer, who has climbed all the 11,000ers in the Canadian Rockies, Bill is also a keen backcountry skier, completing numerous ski traverses in the mountains of Alberta and British Columbia.

Dow Williamsfantastic...

Voted 5/5

particulary the photos with topo lines drawn in...wish it was a ring binder book as all beta books should be, but of course I just tear out the pages....serves as a much better resourse for peaks over 11,000' than Selected Alpine Climbs of the Canadian Rockies.

Best book on the 11,000 foot mountains in the Canadian Rockies. The author was the third person to complete all 54 peaks. He includes lots of well researched material and pictures from his own experience and from others who have completed all the peaks.
