The CAMP Silver Star Climbing Helmet with a compact design and an efficient adjustment system enhance your comfort and won't make you look like an astronaut. The Silver Star's ABS shell provides great protection from rapidly approaching rock as well as whatever horrors you expose it to in your car. The nylon inner structure is lined with breathable, antibacterial mesh (read as: stink-proof) and mesh-covered vents on both sides let air circulate. Camp has equipped the Silver Star with headlamp clips in case your adventures are in the dark.

Great all around Helmet
I have been using this helmet for more than 2 years now....I will buy the same when it will be time to replace it...
I use the helmet for all my climbing activities; rock, ice, alpine.
I often forget that I am wearing it...it is very light and comfortable.
I received some good size ice blocks and some small rocks on it,it withstood the impact very well.

Decent Helmet
All around a pretty decent helmet. It doesn't cover as low down on the sides as I would like, but it's light and holds up pretty well.

Light and comfortable...
..all around helmet. I agree with Packet as regards sides covering but, all in all, a very good product.

Does what it's supposed to
I've had mine about 8 months now and don't regret the purchase at all. I would recommend it to anyone as long as they try it on first: depending on the shape of your head, the straps can chafe your ears and the styrofoam insert can create a little "hot spot" on the crown of your head where it rests.

Nice, many features
I have purchased two to these, one for me, one for my son. Very comfortable to wear, even in the Oklahoma summer heat. Holds a headlamp well also. Less expensive than it's counterparts from other manufacturers.

The Only Problem With It Is...
Well, the advanced one-size-fits-all fast adjustment system does not work well, even with thinner gloves. Toss on a mtneering glove and game over, that helmet is coming off and so are those gloves before that helmet is going to fit correctly over that hat you just pulled on. I prefer my Petzl Icon Roc to the Silver Star only in this one area. Also the inner structure has an odd tendency of popping out of the helmet molding at odd ball times. Other then that, I am always a CAMP man at heart when it comes to my gear.

make sure it fits...
I bought it online after reading good reviews but the helmet is not "deep" enough so if pushed back, it actually comes off. Otherwise it fits well and has good features but I can't risk the helmet coming off in a fall (yes, I tried all adjustments I could). Petzl Ecrin rocks. This one is going back...
