Product Description

A perfect belay or anchor set-up carabiner that is CE- and UIAA-certified. The Element Belay Carabiner handles ropes and belay rappel devices (BRD) with ease. I relatively light and economic pear-shaped biner that is a perfect addition to any climbers rack.

* At 2.5 ounces and 24 kN of strength, you get a good ratio of strength without weight
* Use it with Metolius's BRDs, a munter hitch, or other plate style devices

* Weight: 73 grams
* Type: straight
* Gate closed strength: 23 kN
* Gate open strength: 8 kN
* Minor axis strength: 8 kN
* Locking: screw gate

I love this biner and think is perfect for use as a block with an ATC-Guide or Reverso when belaying a second. Fairly compact and tiny, this also perfect for use as an anchor. I find it too small to use for a belay biner, but it definitely has its place when I go multi-pitch climbing. Pretty cheap and really well built, I recommend this product fully.
