Heatshield Optimal Technology™ SL Fill
100% polyester hollow core fibers increase thermal efficiency. Variations in fiber thickness provide softness and high loft. Easily compressed and resists breakdown.

H.O.T.™ Insulation is built with 100% polyester hollow-core fibers, H.O.T.™ SL provides powerful thermal efficiency. Because the fibers are of variable thickness, they compress easily, without breaking down, resulting in a bag that's convenient to pack, yet doesn't lose its softness, warmth, or high loft.

Overlapping Shingle Construction
Evenly distributes insulation for consistent warmth and uniform loft. Prevents insulation from moving and eliminates cold spots.

Untitled Review
I got this bag around late December and finally took it out this past weekend, Jan 26, 27 and it showed promising results. The temps never reached down to 0 but both nights temps got down in the mid teens with a wind chill in the single digits, so decently cold. For being the first time I used this bag it worked very well. The bag is very roomy and for being a fairly tall guy, 6 2” and using a regular size bag, I fit just fine. The bag kept me warm the whole night and I could imagine that it had another 15 degrees to drop and remain comfortable at around 0 degrees. It seems that this bag will be ideal for traditional winter use and it came at a reasonable price, $80. I am looking forward to getting back out this winter a few more time and continue to use this bag and well see if my opinion changes.

Great deal
I recently purchesed this bag for $79.00. Its a little heavy at just under 5 lbs but it is small enough to fit in my pack and roomy enough for me, a 6' tall guy. Great buy!

1 year later
So I have now had this bag for a little over a year and have put it to some good use and my opinon has changed. I am not very happy with this bag. I feel that the 0 degree is a bunch of bs to start, 20 degrees at best. It is also heavy and bulky making it not very ideal for backpacking. It might just be me but my bag seems to be way to roomy to help keep me really warm. Many uses later I feel that I should have went with a different bag and feel I bought North Face with high expectations and have been let down. In this price range I think I could find another bag that would meet my expectations.
