Product Description

I totally stumbled onto these socks in a little shop in Sisters Oregon. I went in and started talking to the owner about alpaca products and he told me about these socks.

Extreme Alpaca Socks

Alpaca's natural wicking ability will keep your feet warm AND dry. Heavy yarns and plush terry knit provide support and an amazingly soft, cushioned feel. Extreme socks have found favor with dog sledders, fly fisherman, hunters, skiers and snowboarders and "extreme" outdoor activities. Users have reported toasty warm feet in temperatures as low as 20 below zero! The longer calf length will reach to above most boot tops, providing exceptional warmth for the entire lower leg. These socks are natural in color. The sizes are sock sizes not shoe sizes. Women that wear up to a size 8 shoe should get the 9-11. If you wear over a size 8 shoe size get the 10-13. Men that wear a size 9 or ten shoe size get the 10-13 size. If you wear an 11 size shoe or over get the 13-15 sock size.

These socks are excellent. I have been much happier with these for long cold winter ascents in Colorado that other big named brands. They have exception warmth (helped by the taller height), good fit, nice comfort and a cool little design on the side. They cannot go in the dryer but that is an easy thing to remember. If you ever see these get them!
