I run with this thing, and I like it a lot. In my opinion, a running hydration system should:

  • Hold 3 hours' worth of water.

  • Have a compact profile to inhibit the weight of the water from shifting from side to side.

  • Hold a limited amount of stuff (gloves, Gu, key).

This product does well on all three accounts. The profile could be more compact. There is a lot of leftover space in the pouch that holds the water bladder. This is frustrating when you see that the other pouch doesn't hold much of anything. The bladder should be longer, like a hot dog, so that it extends around the waist like a belt. The hose attaches to a small clip on the front, which is pretty tedious to access. I would prefer an over-the-shoulder arrangement.
