Product Description

Kompass hiking maps 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 Hiking Maps of Italy, Austria, Germany and some other countrties. Kompass publish some of the best detailed walking maps available. Each map is sold in a handly pvc wallet. Legend is in English, German & French.

Kompass hiking maps are ideal for the hiking enthusiast. Hiking routes are shown in colour, and icons show you what to look for and what to expect. You can work out the degree of difficulty in advance from the contour lines (with rock formations clearly shown). The maps are usually accompanied by a handy guide crammed with tourist info and possibly also by a concise description of the hiking routes and details of hostel and hut locations. The whole thing is lavishly illustrated with useful colour photos.

I've used them on a trip to Euope once. Not exactly the best but are certainly good enough for me.

Really good maps, for hiking or a bike tour. But what i need in a map is also a UTM Grid or something for a work with a map. Kompass doesnt offer any grid in its map, so nothing for me for serious usage.

stesteGood maps but...

......not always updated. Some little roads or paths or huts indicated are no more existing or in quite bad conditions / abandoned.
Anyway, on the Alps Kompass maps are very popular.
