I have had these for two years and like them. They are not very heavy so if you need serious insulation then get the expedition weight or add more layers.

After my hikes I have not found these to be wet, they dry well. Also the antimicrobial finish works as I have not yet made them stinky. They don't itch like the only other pair of bottoms I have had from Red Hot Chillies and stay drier.

Once I have a chance to compare to the Patagonias I will give a comparison and maybe move the rating up to five stars.

{I never did buy the Patgonias - these have been just fine and I feel no need to spend the money.}

These were a decent last-minute local purchase. I use them for hiking and playing Ultimate Frisbee in the winter. They wick very well, and are quite warm. Even the durability is nice, as I tend to lay out for the disc every so often, and the knees are worn, but not totally exposed.

A good bottom underware, warm, durable, and wicks like a dream. I've never once felt wet going hard or in warmer weather. Comfortalbe, feel good against skin all day long and on extended trips.

Good midweight bottoms. Feel great next to the skin. I wear these under some shorts when trail running or hiking in not so cold weather. They fit great under my softshell pants.

Awesome bottoms
These bottoms are freakin' sweet. I have been out all day in these things in 10 degree weather with just a shell over them, and I stayed plenty warm. Definitely recommend these bottoms.
