I picked up a pair of these for hiking in the ADK. The grip of the rubber soles on open slabs in particular. This sort of a hybrid shoe that has e very flexable toe area for smearing. I am getting used to this feature as I walkin them. My previous approach shoes were very stiff. The Merrell ReflexSo this is an adjustment. It is comfortable and can be adjusted to fit easily depending on what you are going to be doing. So far I am satisfied but the test will be the approach to Aconcagua in December. One thing of note the sole is very soft so they will not last as long as some other shoes. I made the mistake of walking onto a white tiled floor in our kitchen. They left black streaks. So don't climb in your kitchen. (•:

Just purchased my second pair. Love these shoes. Wore my first pair out after 1.5 years. (Twelve scrambles and 1 Aconcagua trip plus some everyday use). Did not last long but very comfortable and very sticky.

Good shoes
I've had a pair abour six months. Very comfortable for hiking. On a trip tto Smith Rock in May they were all I wore for climbing, great for messing about at the local basalt columns. The rubber is quite soft, which I like, but they probably won't last forever. Nothing does.
