General Comments

After wearing out three Silva Expedition compasses, I fancied trying something else and so picked up a Recta DO 595 Global System Compass. At first I used it just like any other compass and wondered was it worth the extra expense. However that was until I started to use the additional features. The declination scale is very useful and once set you can forget it. The clinometer was a feature which always added interest to the day. The only qualms I have with the compass is like my compasses of old, after 4 years it has now got a huge air bubble in it which in my opinion affects the performance and so once again I am after a replacement. If anyone knows how to prevent air bubbles, let me know.

Good reliable and dependable
Excellent compass did me proud, plenty of zero vis practice with it in the Welsh mountains. Only qualm is after 4 years its got a huge air bubble in it
