Love This Little Heavy-Duty Tent...
My 2006 REI Mountain 2 has seen repeated use on Mount San Gorgonio in cold winter conditions, even used it once in the California desert. On occasion I use it as a one person tent to get the ultimate luxurious outdoor sleeping experience. No second person getting in your way, in an otherwise space conscious layout. This way there is plenty of room for you, and your gear. Tent width at the shoulders is about six inches wider than at the foot area, giving two people plenty of room if absolutely necessary. You have to share sometimes, I guess. :)

It's a bit on the weighty side, but the Mountain 2 is rugged, safe, and warm. There are several guy-attachment points on each side. I believe the tent is rated for 70-80 mph winds when properly secured. The vestibule can fit two regular size packs without a problem, boots too. There is ample room for hanging and stowing all your various accessories and clothing. There is plenty of ventilation available, and the flexible windows fore and aft can give great views. Inside temps can reach 10-20 degrees higher than ambient on cold nights, so watch your sleeping bag rating choice!

All in all... I really like this tent!
