At 25" wide you don't have to worry about staying on top of it during the night and it is thick enough to give you a good nights sleep. Even if there are rocks or tree roots under you, you can't feel them. The down side, of course, is that it's a little beefy. I leave it at home when I'm going to be out for a week or more, but on shorter trips it is worth the weight.

You can also get a chair to fit it that makes camp life much more enjoyable. An added bonus: you don't have to take the chair addition off in order to roll up the pad.

A good pad for when you're only going a couple miles or for car camping. It is warm, comfy, and huge. I never came off it in the night. I upgraded to a Prolite 4 mainly cause this one would not fit in my new tent.

Slept through a couple snow storms on it, and thought it did a good job keeping me warm. Even thrown it on the ground a few times and slept on it under the stars. Never had a puncture or a leak. I'm happy with the purchase.
