This little kettle is perfect for the soloist. Will hold almost 3 cups of water which is perfect for most backpacker foods needing only 2 cups. It has a handle...but be careful...the handle gets very hot. The best thing is that the little 3.8 oz Snow Peak fuel bottle fits right inside for easy storage.

I have used this kettle for a number of years. It is a superb piece of durable, minimum weight, multi-purpose cooking gear. Highly recommended.

Modifications I have found useful:

Paint the exterior of the kettle with heatproof black stove/grill paint. This results in more efficient heat transfer and reduced fuel consumption.

Drill out the hole in the lid to 1/4 inch diameter, which helps to limit unexpected boilovers.

Caveat: As noted in the prior review, the handle can get hot after long heatings, so be careful when picking it up.

This thing is light and compact. I bring it everywhere I go. Hell I use the thing at home to cook sometimes. I use it to melt snow, cook dinner and as a cup afterwards.
